Amazon scammed of 100 crores with fake bills.
Amazon employees created fake bills and defrauded the company of ₹102 crore. The scam involved fake delivery trips and false claims of transportation charges. Investigations have begun with 22 people named in the case.

Fraudulent activities are increasing across various sectors, and recently a massive scam has come to light involving Amazon. Employees of the prominent e-commerce company Amazon have defrauded the organization. While delivering goods to customers, they created fake bills and embezzled ₹102 crore. They falsely claimed transportation charges by stating that the customer was not at the address mentioned on the package. Amazon representative GS Arjun Kumar alleged that the scam involved both current and former employees of the company. Upon filing a complaint with the Cyber Security Bureau, authorities registered cases against 22 individuals and launched an investigation.
During the delivery, if a customer is not at the given address, Amazon employees are supposed to record this information in the company’s app, and it is verified by the relay center staff. The delivery charges are calculated based on the distance traveled, and Amazon reimburses the delivery companies accordingly. In this case, the fraudsters recorded deliveries that never took place in the U.S. and claimed transportation charges by stating that no customer was present at the address. This resulted in a total fraud of ₹102,88,05,418.
The Amazon Relay Operations Center in Hyderabad supervises deliveries worldwide. From the time a package leaves the warehouse until it reaches the customer, the movements of Amazon staff are tracked using GPS. However, some former employees exploited this system, along with current staff and employees from the U.S., to register fake trips and issue fraudulent bills.
